Dan Shimshack is an aspiring children’s author, who first found his love for storytelling in an off chance songwriting lesson. It seems it should have been no real surprise, but as his primary instrument was drums, the reticent lyricist soon found joy in filling the space in pages. 

After recently becoming a father, Dan’s writing
fastened to express the wonder of parenthood and
its joyous challenges and boundless amazements.

He lives in Washington DC with his wife, Elise, and their two exuberant boys, son Henry and rescue dog Kona.
